Innovators, entrepreneurs and investors shared ideas and discussed partnerships at the first Trilateral meeting between EIT Health’s German, Spanish and InnoStars Co-Location Centres on 25-26 April in Barcelona.
Around 60 participants representing more than 40 organizations invited by EIT Health in Germany, Spain and InnoStars countries, brought their knowledge and need for partners to a series of matchmaking sessions that allowed participants to engage in more than 100 face-to-face meetings. The event was designed to encourage networking that will help these partners develop innovative healthcare projects.
All partners involved joined in thematic roundtables that stimulated the discussion and helped to bring relevant partners together at one table and to enhance new insights for innovative healthcare solutions.
During the event, Marco Pugliese, Managing Director of CLC Spain, Balazs Furjes, Director of InnoStars, and Bodo Brückner, Entrepreneurship Manager of CLC Germany, gave short presentations about their respective CLCs by showing the competencies, strengths and the expertise of all involved EIT Health partners.
Hosted by the Science Park of the University of Barcelona, the first day of the event ended with the intervention of Brian O’Connor, Chairman of the European Connected Health Alliance, and his inspirational speech about how to foster the collaboration in health, and Raquel Egea, Director of Business Development and Innovation of Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute, who offered an interesting talk about sport and health. The event was closed by Ignasi Belda, Director of Barcelona Science Park.
With the aim of bringing together investors, industrial and academic partners, start-ups and healthcare providers, this cross-CLC meeting offered another networking opportunity for partners and healthcare stakeholders from different European countries.
