EIT HEI Initiative Call 3

Overview

Building on the success of the two previous EIT HEI Initiative calls, EIT is opening a third call for proposals, inviting higher education institutions to design activities that will improve their entrepreneurial and innovation capacity.

About EIT’s HEI Initiative

The EIT HEI Initiative has been designed to address the need for HEI transformation and the role of HEIs in boosting sustainable, inclusive economic growth and competitiveness by reinforcing the innovation capacity of Europe.

More specifically, the HEI Initiative aims to encourage HEIs to reflect on their own practices and the opportunities for increasing their impact in their ecosystem in Europe. It provides support to HEIs to develop and undertake concrete actions which are specifically tailored to achieve such enhanced impact.

How to apply

For the first time, the call is open to both new organisations and existing partners from the Pilot Call and the second call for proposals.

Call 3 applications are expected to demonstrate how the consortia will build innovation capacity through
the integration of deep tech talent-fostering activities, given its importance for the future of innovation in
Europe. The application must demonstrate how it aligns with Deep Tech Talent Initiative and contributes
to deep tech innovation.

If your HEI is considering forming a consortium, read more about the eligibility criteria.

More resources will be available on 17 November, when the application system for this call opens.
