EIT Health innovation educators network

The 2019 edition of the EIT Health Innovation Educators Network, EITHiEN-2, aims to consolidate and scale up the community concept initiated in 2018 among EIT Health innovation educators.

The network has the goal of fostering the exchange of innovative educational experiences, novel knowledge and cutting-edge educational tools in health-innovation education, with a special focus on digital initiatives. The network also provides coaching and mentoring support for health innovation educators.

About this activity

Since it started in 2018, the goal of EITHiEN has been to create a network of health innovation educators in Europe in the context of the EIT Health community. In 2019, EITHiEN-2 is consolidating and expanding the network.

EITHiEN-2 aims to further develop the space for sharing innovative educational experiences, knowledge, and content that cover the needs of capacity building for the health innovator, in an attempt to strengthen the ecosystem of knowledge and innovative thinking.

EITHEN-2 is expanding within EIT Health, by getting more partners involved, and it will explore the potential for collaboration with other EIT Knowledge and Information Communities (KICs), with the ambition of consolidating and scaling up the network of mentoring for health innovation educators.

In a complementary activity, EITHiEN-2 seeks to identify outstanding initiatives, new trends, novel knowledge, and innovative academic content and delivery concepts, to make them available to the entire EIT Health community of innovation educators. The EITHiEN community will be invited to participate in the 2019 edition of the EIT Health-GENiE conference and Train the Trainer Workshop, co-organised between EITHiEN partners, EIT Health and the GENiE Group.
