Summer School: Innovating the joy of eating for healthy ageing

Eating and lifestyle habits are modifiable behaviours that can have a huge impact on health. INJOY trains innovators to develop commercially viable solutions that support healthier lifestyles.

INJOY empowers entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and innovators to develop products and services that help to modify eating and lifestyle habits, increase functionality and promote healthy ageing. Nutrition over our lifespan plays a direct role in age-related decline. This third edition of INJOY’s ten-day training highlights the importance of living better, not just living longer. Working in entrepreneurial teams, students receive inputs on how to validate an idea, structure an opportunity and pitch their projects before an expert jury. Alongside this entrepreneurship training, students are given a foundation of nutrition science. They explore the relationship between food and healthy ageing, developing an understanding of intrinsic capacity, frailty, food texture modification, healthy dietary patterns, food innovation, culture – and the joy of eating.
