EIT Health Spain is located in the Barcelona Science Park of the University of Barcelona, an international leader in fostering innovation. Barcelona was the winner of the European Capital of Innovation award 2014 and is home to 264 biotech companies, 27 research centres working in life sciences, 4 university hospitals, 7 universities offering degrees in life sciences and 7 science and technology parks. EIT Health Spain has partners from three regions (Catalonia, Madrid and Valencia) involving strong agents in the three areas of the innovation triangle: research, education and business creation. In addition to those fields where EIT Health will focus investments, EIT Health Spain supports research, education and business projects in five key strategic main areas: nutrition, frailty and chronic care, social care and risk of exclusion, business creation and entrepreneurship, and brain and neuroscience.

From the airport: El Prat Airport is located approximately 15 km from EIT Health Spain headquarters. Taking a taxi is the best option to reach it. The journey takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately 15-20 €

By car: There is a car park beneath the Barcelona Science Park. The entrance is via Avenida Gregorio Marañón, 8. It is a modern car park with the latest technology, such as charging posts for electric cars and motorbikes, cycle spaces, cell phone coverage and wifi. The car park is open and patrolled 24 hours a day.

By train: Go to Barcelona Sants Station (Metro stop Sants Estació), which has connections with the Metro system. Take the Metro (Line 3) in the direction of Zona Universitària and get off at Palau Reial Station.
