World-class ideas are wasted if the world isn’t ready for them.
The EIT Health Think Tank – our thought leadership forum – brings healthcare leaders together to prepare the ground for life-changing innovation and identify the next opportunity for a step-change in how healthcare is delivered. We collaborate across disciplines and borders to explore and assess the most pressing topics impacting healthcare innovation today.

How do we explore these topics?
We explore them through meaningful dialogue with both internal and external experts in the respective fields. To facilitate this dialogue and its findings, EIT Health drives a range of activities; from our Round Table Series, to publications, opinion pieces and discussion videos.
Through our Round Table Series we invite multidisciplinary regional and national leaders in healthcare to discuss a topic high on the European health innovation agenda. Research gathered throughout this process is collated with Round Table discussions and published as reports.

What’s new in Think Tank?
EIT Health has launched a new pan-European Think Tank initiative focused on the transformative potential of blood-based cancer screening (BBCS). Currently underway, this multi-stakeholder project is exploring how emerging multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests – which use simple blood samples to detect multiple cancers – could be integrated into population-based screening programmes. As part of the initiative, a series of regional roundtable discussions are being held across Europe to capture local insights, challenges, and policy contexts. By engaging experts, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and patient representatives, the project aims to generate actionable recommendations that support earlier diagnosis, improved outcomes, and equitable access – in alignment with Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
