MUG Recruits nine start-ups for Accelerator programmes

4th August 2018

MUG will organise a start-up training event and an EIT Health Innovation Day

The team of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) from MUG recruited nine start-ups for different InnoStars Accelerator Programmes – six for European Health Catapult, two for HeadStart Funding and one for the InnoStars Awards.

Two of the selected start-ups, Harimata (European Health Catapult) and Koatum (HeadStart Funding), were selected to present their innovative projects from Digital Health and MedTech respectively on 11 July at the University of Naples. After the regional selection event, Koatum received a grant award and was invited to the mentoring programme to develop its business. Holoroad participated in the InnoStars Awards and was selected to attend a bootcamp based on their improved business plan and pitching skills.

MUG is planning to organise two innovation events, a one-day Start-up Training on 18 October and an EIT Health Innovation Day on 19 November. The events will be dedicated to start-ups across all healthcare topics. All the participants will have the opportunity to receive professional support from social entrepreneurship initiatives that can have a significant social impact in the Pomerania region or even all of Poland.

The TTO team from MUG will also be promoting the KTI model, and EIT Health Campus and Accelerator Programmes during the conference “Life Science Open Space” in Kraków on 11 October.
