Announcement of change in EIT Health leadership for a continuing journey of success

15th July 2019

From the EIT Health Supervisory Board Chair

The following is a message from Alexander von Gabain, EIT Health Supervisory Board Chair:

It is with regret that I announce Sylvie Bove has decided to leave her current position as CEO of EIT Health by 31 January 2018. During these first challenging and deciding years of EIT Health, Sylvie (pictured) has successfully laid the foundations of a strong organisation, managing our large consortium and building an impressive portfolio of activities to spur innovation in health across the three pillars of business creation, education and innovation.

The Supervisory Board has nominated Jan-Philipp Beck, currently COO of EIT Health, as her successor. Jan-Philipp has supported our consortium already during its application phase and has significantly contributed in his tenure as COO to building strategy, processes and concepts for EIT Health. Kareen Forissier, currently Head of the Project Management Office, will succeed Jan-Philipp as COO.

With Jan-Philipp and Kareen, EIT Health will continue on its exciting journey of innovating healthcare in Europe. Please join me in congratulating Jan-Philipp and Kareen into their upcoming new roles and wishing them best of success.

The EIT Health Supervisory Board is grateful to Sylvie for her great achievements during the start-up phase of EIT Health, and we look forward to the consolidation and growth of the work she started.
