This month, we are delighted to announce Phase 1 of our 2022 calls with the launch of new Accelerator programmes and Bootcamps aimed at SMEs, start ups, entrepreneurs and innovators who want to connect with European health experts to fast track their business ideas in health innovation.
Our accelerator programmes catalyse new business growth to deliver transformative products and services. We work with entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs to shorten the time-to-market for life-changing health products and services while creating new jobs and contributing to a thriving economy. Since launching in 2016, EIT Health Ireland UK has supported more than 170 startups with significant investment of €293 m
Applications are open to entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs focused on medtech, biotech, and digital health. Whether you need access to knowledge, new markets, key stakeholders, or investors and funding – EIT Health can help.

The Start-ups Meet Pharma is a challenge-based acceleration program focused on selecting the most promising health start-ups and scale-ups matching the corporate partners’ innovation needs, to deliver solutions that address quality and affordable healthcare for European patients. In 2022, we are enabling unparalleled exposure to industry executives and decision-makers at Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Sintetica and Takeda through one-to-one pitch sessions, support, value proposition development and partnership exploration. This programme is the right support for you if you want to grow your business beyond the home market. It will help you match your scale-up with an incubator or accelerator from EIT Health’s approved network and together, and together you will plan how to access new markets quickly and decisively, tap into local networks of partners and clients, access infrastructure and understand new regulatory systems. Women Entrepreneurship Bootcamp
The Women Entrepreneurship Bootcamp connects early-stage, women-led or co-led healthcare start-ups to an unparalleled network of mentors in order to nurture and support rapid growth. In the framework of the 5-week programme, we will help you leverage the diversity in your leadership team to achieve the best possible outcomes for your start-up. Offering a unique combination of mentoring and onsite and online training, this two-week Bootcamp supports the development and launch of innovative solutions created by people directly affected by health conditions. The aim is to help you move your ideas from solutions to prototypes through to market-ready innovations. Are you looking for the path to commercialise your innovative healthcare solution? The Reactor Bootcamp will provide a customised path so you can find your product-market fit and accelerate early adoption. You will get expert guidance on customer awareness, developing the customer journey, industry compliance, and go-to-market strategy. You will also get extensive training towards commercialising your product or service through four intensive remote sprints paired with tailored mentorship. The annual call for Wild Card is now open for people who are not afraid to defy convention, take a risk and with our help, create products and services that could change people’s lives. Wild Card provides world-class training and mentoring, and the opportunity to create a venture with up to €1.5 million investment (grant-for-option). Start-ups Meet Healthcare Providers
The challenge-based programme brings together in one frame (i) healthcare providers posing specific problems that hinder their effective and best possible provision of care and (ii) start-ups developing innovative technologies and services representing potential solutions for the selected challenges. As a start-up innovating in healthcare, you can benefit from obtaining feedback and validation with your future users – patients, hospitals and healthcare providers.
