EIT Cross-KIC Business Idea Competition 2018

16th July 2019

Apply Now and Turn Your Idea into a Business

Jointly organised by EIT Health, EIT Raw Materials, and EIT Food, the Business Idea Competition helps to improve cross-sectoral innovation performance in EIT RIS countries along the following thematic areas: 1) Food, 2) Health, and 3) Raw Materials. Do you have a unique business idea and want to learn basic entrepreneurial skills? Get engaged with Europe’s largest thematic innovation networks, learn how to develop your business plan and pitch your idea to future investors.

If selected, you will start with a two-day Business Planning Bootcamp, which will provide a unique cross-industry environment, the primary focus being on the quantitative business model building. You can also learn how to get started on building a business: how to build a team, business processes, organisational design, and so on. Participants will be selected based on the strength of their entrepreneurial idea, their impact to the sector, and their growth potential.

Locations of the Bootcamps:

  • Zagreb, Croatia – 4-5 May 2018; or
  • Budapest, Hungary – 11-12 May 2018; or
  • Warsaw, Poland – 15-16 June 2018

Participants successfully completing the Bootcamp will receive a scholarship worth € 1 000.

After the Bootcamp, participants will go to the next phase of the competition by getting further education, dedicated mentoring, and then finally compete with their business plan at the Joint Pitch Finals for a prize of up to € 10 000.

Application deadline: 31 March 2018
