EIT Health Investor Network open for applications from start-ups

First EU network of investors focused solely on healthcare innovation

EIT Health Investor Network is now taking applications from start-ups who want to join the first pan-European, EU-driven network solely focused on financing healthcare innovation.

Part of EIT Health Accelerator, Investor Network aims to connect European health-oriented investors with promising, pre-screened start-ups, so that ideas for improving healthcare can get into the market.

EIT Health Investor Network encourages cross-border financing and co-investment to facilitate fundraising that will help late-development-stage European start-ups conquer health markets faster and better.

It offers high-potential start-ups connections to a wide variety of private-equity investors, as well as coaching by seasoned investors and serial entrepreneurs and potential access to the EIT Health Living Labs network.

For private investors, business angel associations and representatives of venture capital or corporate venture funds, EIT Health Investor Network offers a great opportunity to review and select pre-screened innovative companies according to the properties of their portfolio – and to join a select network of investors.

How it works

The ambitions of the Investor Network are to:

• Allow start-ups to access funding faster
• Foster earlier internationalization with cross-border investors
• Leverage local funding with international co-investments

Investor Network will create a qualified deal-flow around a common platform, international gatherings, face-to-face meetings and online pitches. It can bring unmatched value to start-ups by solving issues that are not addressed by national funding systems.

Angels Santé, the largest Business Angels Association dedicated to healthcare, is leading a partnership with BIO Clustermanagement NRW GmbH and Imperial College Health Partners to build this unique cross-border investor community. After an official 3 May 2018 kick-off in London, during the Global Investor Forum, the Network has held investors’ meetings in Milan, Lisbon, and Rotterdam. Another meeting is scheduled for 26 September in Belgium.
