The results of the first year of EIT Health Think Tank discussions, covering the potential for Big Data in healthcare, were presented 5 December 2018 at the EIT Health Summit in Lodz, Poland, and are now available online.

The EIT Health Think Tank is a forum of experts and thought leaders cooperating through a series of discussions to help EIT Health determine how it can ensure it has a high impact in supporting innovations to improve healthcare.

For 2018, EIT Health Think Tank focused on “The use of existing Big Data to improve healthcare”.

The EIT Health Think Tank brought together more than 100 experts and key stakeholders in Big Data and healthcare to discuss the issue. They gathered for a working group meeting and Round Tables – hosted by EIT Health regional representations in Spain, UK-Ireland and Scandinavia – and produced many actionable recommendations for EIT Health strategic directions.

A summary of the recommendations and next steps can be found in this report, which was released on the last day of the EIT Health Summit, a key annual meeting for the network.

You can also download the Round Table reports and find out more about the EIT Health Think Tank here.
