EIT Health Spain is organising a round table on the opportunities of digital health technologies to reindustrialise Spain and Europe on 2 February at 15.40 in Room 3 of the Gran Via Venue at the Fira de Barcelona, as part of the IoT Solutions World Congress, a leading event on trends in digital transformation, based on disruptive technologies.
The roundtable aims to identify opportunities in the field of bio-production as well as to provide a first insight into the potential of health technology, medical devices, and digital health to drive the reindustrialisation of Europe.
It will also analyse Spain’s potential in this field and the market gaps that need to be addressed to provide a joint response from all EU member states.
In this regard, within The Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for Vanguard Health, Spain, as a member state of the Union, has signed a Manifesto to deploy the IPCEI (Important Projects of Common European Interest), which sets among its priorities the identification of funding for innovative projects that address market failures and achieve a stronger healthcare industry.
Moderated by Izabel Alfany, Operations and Business Development Director of EIT Health Spain, the session on “Health Technology and Digital Health: An Opportunity for Reindustrialization in Spain and Europe?” will be held in English and will count with representatives of the sector, including Montserrat Daban, Director of Science Policy and Internationalisation at Biocat (BioRegion of Catalonia), Sergio Muñoz, Chief Innovation Officer, Digital Health and Emerging Technologies Director at Fenin (Federación Española de Empresas de Tecnología Sanitaria); Jose Luis Gómez, VP Public Policy EMEA at Becton Dickinson; Anaïs LeCorvec, Managing Director in Council of European BioRegions (CEBR) and Enrique Castellón, CEO and Founder at Additum Blockchain and CEO at CrossRoad Biotech.
