EIT Health Ireland-UK welcomes three new members—NIBRT, Firefinch and eg technology—expanding its network of leading health innovators working to address Europe’s biggest healthcare challenges through technology and collaboration.
EIT Health Ireland-UK, a Co-location Centre of EIT Health, which is part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, a body of the European Union, today announced that three new organisations – The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT), Firefinch and eg technology have joined its growing network. EIT Health is Europe’s largest health innovation network made up of 100 member organisations across business, research, education, government, and health service delivery, working together to address health challenges facing Europe through innovation and technology.
Through their EIT Health membership, the three organisations gain access to a pan-European innovation network, as well as opportunities to collaborate on EU-supported initiatives and contribute to EIT Health’s thought leadership through the EIT Health Think Tank.

NIBRT is a global centre of excellence for research and training in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Based in Dublin, NIBRT leads cutting-edge research programmes focused on advanced bioprocessing, cell and gene therapies, and next-generation manufacturing technologies. NIBRT is also home to CONCEPT Ireland’s core facility for early-stage biotherapy development. Through collaborative partnerships with industry, academia, and regulators, NIBRT drives scientific innovation and translational research that supports the development and commercialisation of complex therapeutics. Alongside its research mission, NIBRT offers world-class training in a facility purpose-built to mirror a modern bioprocessing plant, ensuring an integrated approach to workforce development and innovation.
