DEEPSEA Hungary is a unique two-year accelerator programme supporting the growth and internationalisation of Hungary’s start-up ecosystem. Through a series of collaborative events, reflective dialogues, and targeted “moonshot” projects, DEEPSEA Hungary challenges conventional support models and proposes new, human-centred approaches shaped to the real needs of ecosystem actors.
Introducing DEEPSEA Moonshots in Hungary
A key factor of the DEEPSEA Hungary programme is the launch of eight high-impact “moonshot” projects over the next two years, designed to create lasting value and system-level change. These bold, transformative initiatives address the most critical barriers in the Hungarian innovation landscape, such as limited global visibility, weak international connections, and unsustainable support structures. The programme aims to unlock international partnerships, engage the Hungarian diaspora, and drive systemic change that strengthens the ecosystem’s global relevance and resilience.
What to Expect
DEEPSEA Hungary is structured around a series of thoroughly designed in-person and online engagements aimed to explore and question how support structures are currently working—and how they could improve.
Ecosystem Hack
A participatory working session will be held on July 1, 2025 to identify key challenges and co-design future-focused solutions that will have direct impact on the projects selected for the DEEPSEA Accelerator and guide the focus of the two-year implementation programme. It invites participants to co-create new models of support, challenge assumptions, and reflect on their own role in the system.
Webinar Series
Webinars will also take place, featuring leading experts, practitioners, and ecosystem architects from around the globe. Each session will unpack key themes in Hungary’s journey with DEEPSEA.
