Digital Health Innovation Award

 

Are you a student developing a transformative digital solution as a response to a pressing health challenge? EIT Health is excited to announce that we are launching a new award, in collaboration with JA Europe, Europe’s largest provider of education programmes for entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy.

The Digital Health Innovation Award gives students developing transformative solutions that promise to improve the lives of patients and citizens the chance to win access our mentors and coaching network to help evolve their idea. Winners also gain access to our event “Career Path: From Student to Innovator” where they will be inspired to make their ideas and reality as they continue their innovation journey. Plus, winners will be given a voucher for Amazon Web Services to help them with the digital side of their future business.

Winners will be announced on the 25th May, preceding JA Europe’s flagship event, the GEN-E Conference, which is Europe’s largest entrepreneurial festival, taking place July 2 – 4 in Catania, Italy.

The awards will be judged by Magda Krakowiak, Director EIT Health Accelerator, Sergio González, DiGinnovation Programme Lead and Montse Delgado Llavina, Head of Entrepreneurship Education & Venture Builder, EIT Health.

The judges will be looking for your digital solution to meet the following criteria:

  • Innovation in healthcare: To what extent is it a novel solution with the potential to transform the healthcare ecosystem? ​
  • Impact on society: What is the business’ potential for significant social impact and engagement of the broader community (individual, community, systemic)​?
  • Use of technology: To what extent has the team used innovative technology and co-creativity while adhering to Medical Guidelines, GDPR, security, privacy, data flow rules and regulations?
  • Business scalability: What is the business case for your solution to ensure its sustainability? Does it have potential for reimbursement by national authorities?

The deadline for applications is May 5 2024.
