EIT Labelled Certified Innovation Path

Join our Digital Medical Devices (DMD) programme and get to grips with the exciting world of digital health.

This is your chance to master the key principles of DMD, understand its impact on healthcare systems, and tackle the challenges of implementing digital health solutions.

Start with core modules in leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation, plus two introductory DMD modules, before tailoring your journey with four out of seven specialised modules.

From regulatory standards and cybersecurity to AI integration and personalised care, you’ll gain the skills to drive real change. Plus, you’ll learn how to navigate the path to getting your digital medical device adopted. It’s time to make your mark.

Learning Outcomes

  • ✅ Understand the full lifecycle of digital medical devices — from design to adoption and regulation
    ✅ Apply AI, data, and cybersecurity principles to develop safe, effective, and compliant medical technologies
    ✅ Navigate MDR, IVDR, and related EU frameworks, integrating standards and regulatory best practices
    ✅ Design patient-centred, personalised health solutions supported by digital and connected devices
    ✅ Evaluate innovation readiness and adoption pathways for digital health technologies
    ✅ Analyse real-world cases to identify best practices for successful DMD implementation and scaling

The estimated time commitment for the programme is 20 to 24 hours per week.

Eligibility Requirements

Our online programme is open to:

  • Master’s students who are still studying or have graduated from a reputable university
  • PhD students
  • Healthcare professionals or working professionals who want to upskill, reskill, and gain experience in the digital medical device industry
  • A professional level of English is required.
