Week 1 in-person in Luxembourg: What is a good DMD?

  • Value of DMDs for patients and healthcare professionals
  • DMD requirements
  • Regulation and ethics
  • Meet the patient co-creation workshop: DMD development phases challenge, clinical unmet needs, DMD selection/development, prototyping

Week 2 in-person in Spain

  • Online onboarding sessions – 1–2 sessions: 3–4 July 2023
  • Self-paced preparatory work: 3–7 July 2023
  • Onsite in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg : 10–14 July 2023
  • Onsite in Barcelona, Spain: 17–21 July 2023

LOCATION:

COST

  • If accepted, participants will be required to pay a fully refundable fee of 50 euros to secure their place
  • Participants travelling to Luxembourg and Barcelona from any other EU country will be able to request a travel grant of up to 300 euros for each location. This is subject to eligibility and limited availability

Who should apply?

No prior DMD skills or knowledge are required to attend the summer school. However, we request that individuals meet the following criteria:

  • Based in the European Union
  • Has an interest in learning about digital medical devices and is committed to completing the programme
  • Comes from a discipline such as medicine, life sciences, engineering, social sciences, data science, economics, etc
  • Has pursued or is pursuing university or equivalent studies – Bachelor, Master, PhD, early career postdoctoral/professionals
