Who should apply

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • An SME according to the EU definition (Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC)
  • Legally incorporated in a Horizon Europe country
  • Registered in Central and Eastern Europe – with your headquarters in CEE – or with offices in CEE (even if not registered there)
  • Aiming to grow your start-up in Europe, with international ambitions and high-growth perspectives
  • At the forefront of life sciences innovation in biotech, med tech or digital health – beyond just wellbeing or consumer health
  • Developing a disruptive – not just incremental – solution
  • The owner of the IP behind your project.

Financial obligations

You will benefit from a range of individualised services and support initiatives to enhance your capabilities, boost your visibility, and give you access to exclusive opportunities for growth and investment. These services are covered by the budget of HICEE, an EU-funded project, so there are no costs to start-ups. However, some companies may have the opportunity to access the Accelerator’s finance services, which could incur additional fees.
