To be eligible for the InnoStars SPICE programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a legal entity registered in one of the following RIS-eligible countries:
- EU Member States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain.
- Horizon Europe Associated Countries: Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine.
- Outermost Regions: Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique, Mayotte and Saint-Martin (France); the Azores and Madeira (Portugal); and the Canary Islands (Spain).
- Be capable of commercialising services and products. Only universities, research and technology organisations (RTOs), university-owned foundations, and SMEs that can generate revenue from their commercial activities are eligible to apply for InnoStars SPICE funding.
- Not be an individual or large enterprise, as they are ineligible for funding under this call.
- Not have received financial support in the same calendar year from other EIT Health RIS programmes.
- Have an innovative solution with a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 6, indicating that the technology/service/solution has been demonstrated in a working or relevant environment.
