Master in Technological Innovation in Health


Created by a consortium of five universities, this 1.5-to-2-year degree programme takes a transdisciplinary approach to biomedical engineering.

Working in teams, you learn to combine different technologies to solve real-life health challenges. Your “active learning” is obtained from two universities and practical work. You will gain problem solving skills and a collaborative, market-oriented approach, empowering you to develop innovative healthcare solutions.

Curriculum details

This masters programme uses a learning‐by‐doing curriculum to promote creativity, innovation and design thinking among students.

You will take courses and receive mentoring at your home university, visit a partner university for further studies, participate in non-academic activities, and complete a five-month internship in a company or a research laboratory.

Free of charge. Students receive an EIT-Health grant for the mobility semester at one of the partner universities.

Who should apply

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science, and have a strong interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.
