Effective 1 January 2018

The Boards of EIT Health Germany and EIT Health UK-Ireland, respectively, are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Katharina Ladewig as Managing Director, EIT Health Germany, effective 1 January 2018. Dr. Ladewig has been an active member of the EIT Health community since its incorporation phase, and led the UK-Ireland Regional Innovation Hub (RIH) as Managing Director since October 2015.

“We are delighted that Katharina will remain in EIT Health. From the UK and Ireland perspective, we are proud of her leadership and success, and grateful for all her efforts in building EIT Health’s momentum. We believe this transition will be to all our benefits, with Katharina linking the CLCs and catalysing future co-operation. It is a wonderful example, of how EIT Health can promote mobility and co-operation and promote our best people to new opportunities for their career development.” says Prof Bass Hassan (Chairman of the Board of Directors, EIT Health UK-Ireland)

“With the appointment of Dr. Ladewig we chose a leader, who will enthusiastically drive forward the position of the German CLC within the EIT Health community as well as its role in the European health innovation ecosystem.” adds Dr. Volker Lodwig (Board of Directors, EIT Health Germany).
