Ces partenariats, qui renforcent la dimension internationale des HealthTech Innovation Days, faciliteront les collaborations au sein de l’écosystème de santé européen dans le but d’accélérer l’accès des patients aux innovations médicales.

Paris, 3 mars 2021 – Après le succès de la deuxième édition des HealthTech Innovation Days, avec l’appui des plus hautes institutions françaises et européennes, la troisième édition souhaite s’imposer comme l’événement de référence des acteurs mondiaux de l’écosystème européen en santé. En se réunissant autour de HealthTech For Care, ces entités affirment leurs objectifs communs de soutenir et de promouvoir l’accès aux soins pour tous et, plus particulièrement, aux nouvelles technologies médicales et aux nouveaux médicaments.

Le fonds de dotation HealthTech For Care, renouvelle son partenariat avec l’Institut Européen d’Innovation et de Technologie en santé (EIT Health) pour la troisième édition des HealthTech Innovation Days les 4 & 5 Octobre 2021. « Avec plus de 250 membres, EIT Health constitue le plus grand consortium européen en santé et rassemble tous les acteurs des sciences de la vie présents dans plus d’une vingtaine de pays. HealthTech For Care a depuis le début l’ambition de faire un événement européen à Paris pour favoriser l’accès à tous les patients aux technologies des sciences et de la vie. Le renouvellement du partenariat avec EIT Health et les nouvelles collaborations avec BIO Deutschland et BioWin s’inscrivent parfaitement dans notre stratégie. Avec le soutien de la Commission européen et du Fonds européen d’investissement (FEI), EIT Health a fait le choix de s’associer à HealthTech For Care pour accueillir les membres de son programme de co-investissement Venture Centre of Excellence (VCoE) et organiser des sessions qui leur sont exclusives lors des HealthTech Innovation Days consacrant ainsi cet évènement comme un rendez-vous incontournable de l’investissement dans la santé.

Le Venture Centre of Excellence (VCoE) est un programme pan-européen d’innovation ouverte, créé par EIT Health et le FEI, qui bénéficie d’un soutien financier de la Commission européenne de 150 millions d’euros annoncé lors de la 2ème édition des HealthTech Innovation Days. Ce programme devrait cataliser près de 2 milliards d’euros d’investissements en sciences de la vie d’ici 15 ans. Le VCoE va renforcer la collaboration et les capacités d’investissement de ses membres, et se faisant va soutenir les technologies de pointe, la commercialisation, et la mise à l’échelle des produits et services au sein de l’écosystème européen.

Afin de renforcer le positionnement de HealthTech For Care comme un Fonds de dotation d’intérêt général européen, deux nouvelles collaborations ont été signées: BIO Deutschland, l’association de Biotechnologie Allemande qui compte actuellement plus de 340 membres et BioWIN, le pôle de compétitivité santé de Wallonie qui compte 249 membres. Ces collaborations montrent une volonté commune de la part de plusieurs clusters européens de collaborer ensemble, d’accélerer l’innovation en santé et rendre les soins plus rapidement accessibles aux patients.

HealthTech For Care and EIT Health renew their partnership for the organisation of HealthTech Innovation Days, reinforcing its European positioning through new collaborations with BIO Deutschland and BioWin.

These partnerships, which reinforce the international dimension of the HealthTech Innovation Days, will facilitate collaborations within the European health ecosystem with the aim of accelerating patient access to medical innovations.

Paris, 3 March, 2021 – Following the success of the second edition of the HealthTech Innovation Days, in October 2020, supported by high-level French and European institutions, the third edition aims to establish itself as the reference event for global players in the European health ecosystem. By joining forces around HealthTech For Care, they prove their common commitment to supporting and promoting access to healthcare for all and, more particularly, to new medical technologies and new medicines.

The HealthTech For Care endowment fund is renewing its partnership with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in Health (EIT Health) for the third edition of the HealthTech Innovation Days on 4 & 5 October 2021. “With more than 250 members, EIT Health is the largest European consortium in the health sector and brings together all types of life science players from more than 20 countries. From the start, HealthTech For Care has had the ambition to make HTID an event in Paris which promotes access to all patients in life sciences technologies. The renewal of the partnership with EIT Health and the new collaborations with BIO Deutschland and BioWin are perfectly in line with our strategy. With the support of the European Commission and the European Investment Fund (EIF), EIT Health has chosen to partner with HealthTech For Care to host its co-investment programme Venture Centre of Excellence (VCoE) members, and organise VCoE member-exclusive sessions at HealthTech Innovation Days thereby establishing the event as a key milestone for health investment.

The Venture Centre of Excellence (VCoE) is a pan-European open innovation programme, created by EIT Health and the EIF, benefitting from a EUR 150m financial support from the European Commission, as announced during HTID 2020. The programme is expected to catalyse up to EUR 2 billion of investment in life sciences over the next 15 years. The VCoE will strengthen the collaboration and investment capacities of its members, thereby supporting cutting-edge technologies, commercialisation and the scale-up of products and services in the European ecosystem.

In order to strengthen HealthTech For Care’s role as a European General Interest Endowment Fund, HealthTech For Care has signed two new collaborations: BIO Deutschland, the German Biotechnology Association that currently has over 340 members and BioWIN, the health competitiveness cluster in Wallonia with 249 members. These collaborations show a common willingness on the part of several European clusters to collaborate together and accelerate innovation in health and make care more quickly accessible to patients.
