EIT Health selecting two Supervisory Board members

16th September 2020

Call for two independent board members; apply by 15 October 2020

EIT Health is seeking candidates with at least 10 years of leadership experience in the health sector in Europe to serve as independent members of our Supervisory Board, which is a non-operational board overseeing the managers of EIT Health. There are currently two independent board member seats vacant.

The EIT Health Supervisory Board plays a vital role in our organisation, and therefore in driving healthcare innovation in Europe. The Board oversees the activities of EIT Health and monitors the definition, approval and fulfilment of the Strategic Agenda. The Board also appoints EIT Health’s CEO and COO, supervises their work and discusses and approves strategic decisions of EIT Health’s Management Board. Find out more about EIT Health and its governance structure here.

The Supervisory Board seats that EIT Health is currently looking to fill are for “independent members”, which means that the new members in no way (neither directly nor indirectly) hold an interest in an EIT Health Partner, do not act for a Partner and are not a representative of a CLC or InnoStars. A list of those Partner organisations can be seen here.

Supervisory Board members are elected by the EIT Health Partner Assembly. The term is of two years, and a maximum of three terms (total of six years) can be served if the Partner Assembly renews the mandate accordingly.
