EIT Health Austria has partnered again with AustrianStartups to host the second health-focused Stammtisch since the first edition last autumn.
AustrianStartups’ core mission is centred around community, thought leadership and education: with their community platform, resources and events, they connect (future) founders, supporters, investors, curious minds, ecosystem organisations and policy makers – and enable exchange between them.
The organisation was founded in May 2013 and became popular for its monthly meeting, the “Stammtisch”: Therefore, we are thrilled to have co-hosted the 133rd edition titled “The Future of Health Tech”, which brought together the booming health and life sciences innovation community of Austria!
The event took place on 18 March at the Startup House in Vienna: Highlights were two parallel fireside chats with Angelika Lackner and Eva Scharnagl from Diamens; Paul Kressnik from Brainhero and Sophie Zettl from YGION. Over 100 participants had the chance to ask them questions directly. As most participants were current or prospective founders, the questions centred on the biggest challenges when founding a start-up in the healthcare sector and what opportunities can be used when founding a start-up in Austria.
