Les HTID® ont reçu le soutien renouvelé des représentants des institutions françaises et européennes, comme en témoignent les participations de M. Thierry Breton, Commissaire européen au Marché intérieur, Mme Agnès Pannier-Runacher, ministre déléguée chargée de l’Industrie et M. Olivier Véran, ministre de la Santé.

Paris, France, 11 octobre 2021 : Initiée en 2019 par Maryvonne Hiance, présidente de HealthTech For Care, la 3^ème édition des HTID®, co-organisé par HealthTech For Care et EIT Health a réuni pendant 2 jours les acteurs de l’écosystème de l’innovation en santé en Europe avec pour objectif d’encourager de nouveaux partenariats industriels pour accélérer le développement et l’accès au marché de nouveaux produits et de traitements pour tous les patients. 1300 rendez-vous (networking & rencontres entre tous les acteurs de l’écosystème) en présentiel et virtuel ont été organisés cette année ; traduisant un intérêt croissant pour cet évènement. Les HTID ont notamment rassemblé 155 entreprises européennes de technologies de la santé, 15 sociétés pharmaceutiques et industrielles et plus de 300 investisseurs internationaux.

Cette année, HTID renforce son positionnement européen grâce à 10 nouvelles collaborations avec des clusters européens, un soutien inconditionnel de la part de nos 21 mécènes mais également grâce à la mobilisation des membres d’HealthTech For Care et la co-organisation avec EIT Health.

Écosystème de la HealthTech : vers de nouvelles avancées en matière d’investissement en Europe.

Lors de l’inauguration des HTID, M. Emmanuel Macron, Président de la République Française, a réaffirmé les grandes priorités de la stratégie nationale d’innovation en santé et l’engagement du gouvernement pour faire de la France le pays le plus dynamique et le plus attractif dans le domaine de l’innovation en santé. Également, au niveau européen des politiques ambitieuses se développent pour favoriser l’innovation en Europe. Pour renforcer la coopération entre les différents acteurs du financement, M. Emmanuel Macron, Président de la République Française, a rassemblé à l’Elysée lors d’un déjeuner, co-organisé avec Sofinnova Partners et Maryvonne Hiance à l’occasion des HTID, une quarantaine d’investisseurs internationaux (États-Unis, Asie, Europe).

Alain Godard, CEO du Fonds Européen d’Investissement et Jean-Marc Bourez, Directeur général d’EIT Health Services & Investment ont dévoilé les noms des 8 premiers investisseurs sélectionnés pour le Venture Centre of Excellence (VCoE), un programme de co-investissement européen, d‘une capacité d’investissement de 1,7 milliards d’euros, destiné à financer l’innovation dans la santé.

Invité d’honneur des HealthTech Innovation Days, Thierry Breton, le Commissaire européen au Marché intérieur a salué cette annonce et souligné que « Pour que l’écosystème industriel de la santé devienne plus résilient, nous devons continuer à soutenir sa capacité d’innovation. Les HTID sont donc une grande occasion pour réunir l’ensemble de l’écosystème pour accélérer l’innovation en Europe. Aujourd’hui, je me réjouis que le programme Venture Centre of Excellence, soutenu par la Commission européenne, ait réuni des fonds de capital-risque dotés de 1,7 milliard d’euros de capacités d’investissement dans les sciences de la vie. Cela aidera les PME européennes du secteur des sciences de la vie à concrétiser leurs innovations révolutionnaires. »

Les conférences proposées lors de ces deux jours d’échange et de réflexion ont permis de faire le point sur :

• Les enjeux économiques et d’investissement de demain pour le secteur de la santé en Europe ?
• Les enjeux technologiques de demain pour les sociétés de la healthtech : l’accès au marché, le développement des données de santé, l’identification et propositions d’adoption d’une chaîne de valeur de la bioproduction et de la fabrication au niveau européen. :

Lors de cette 3^ème édition, le Conseil Européen des BioRégions (CEBR) et EIT Health, avec le soutien de EIT Manufacturing ont conjointement dévoilé un panorama des écosystèmes de bioproduction en Europe, le « BioManufacturing Landscaping » comme le précise Jérôme Fabiano, Directeur Affaires extérieures, EIT Health France. « Les trois constats principaux de ce panorama mettent en perspective le besoin urgent de former les talents nécessaires ou favoriser la reconversion pour satisfaire les besoins de ce secteur d’activité pour les prochaines années ; de créer les mécanismes de financement privés et publics intra-communautaires et de renforcer les synergies entre eux ; et de connecter les écosystèmes régionaux d’excellence dans le domaine. »

• Les enjeux thérapeutiques de santé publique de demain : maladies infectieuses, antibiorésistance, cancer.

Christian Pierret, ancien ministre délégué en charge de l’Industrie déclare « Face aux enjeux sanitaires et thérapeutiques, la mobilisation des institutions est à la mesure des défis qu’ils constituent pour nos sociétés. La Commission européenne a dévoilé son plan de lutte contre le cancer. Ce dernier prévoit l’engagement de 4 milliards d’euros pour financer des programmes de prévention, de recherche et de déploiement des traitements au sein de l’Union européenne. »

The 3rd edition of the HealthTech Innovation Days (HTID®) gathered the major players in the health innovation ecosystem and presents new investment opportunities in Europe.

Paris, France, 11 October 2021: Initiated in 2019 by Maryvonne Hiance, President of HealthTech For Care, The 3rd edition of the HTID, co-organised by HealthTech For Care and EIT Health, brought together for 2 days the actors of the innovation ecosystem in health in Europe with the objective of encouraging new industrial partnerships to accelerate the development and market access of new products and treatments for all patients. 1300 face-to-face and virtual meetings (networking & meetings between all the players in the ecosystem) were organised this year, reflecting the growing interest in this event. Also, at the European level, ambitious policies are being developed to promote innovation in Europe. To strengthen cooperation between the various players in the financing industry, Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, brought together some forty international investors (United States, Asia, Europe) at the Elysée Palace for a lunch co-organised with Sofinnova Partners and Maryvonne Hiance on the occasion of the HTID.

Alain Godard, CEO of the European Investment Fund and Jean-Marc Bourez, Managing Director of EIT Health Services & Investment announced the names of the first 8 investors selected for the Venture Centre of Excellence (VCoE), a European co-investment programme with an investment capacity of 1.7 billion, aimed at financing innovation in health.

Guest of honour at the HealthTech Innovation Days, Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for the Internal Market, welcomed the announcement and stressed that “For the health industry ecosystem to become more resilient, we must continue to support its capacity for innovation. The conferences proposed during these two days of exchange and reflection have allowed to take stock of:

• Tomorrow’s economic and investment challenges for the health sector in Europe
• Tomorrow’s technological challenges for healthtech companies: access to the market, development of health data, identification, and proposals for the adoption of a value chain for bioproduction and manufacturing at European level.

During this 3rd edition, the European Council of BioRegions (CEBR) and EIT Health, with the support of EIT Manufacturing, jointly unveiled a panorama of biomanufacturing ecosystems in Europe, the “BioManufacturing Landscaping” as specified by Jérôme Fabiano, Director of External Affairs, EIT Health France. “The three main findings of this panorama put into perspective the urgent need to train the necessary talents or to promote retraining to meet the needs of this sector of activity for the next few years; to create private and public funding mechanisms within the EU and to strengthen the synergies between them; and to connect the regional ecosystems of excellence in the field.”
