First EIT Health RIS Hub KTI Workshop

3rd August 2018

The first RIS KTI workshop was held in Budapest on 21 June

The workshop provided participants with the opportunity to meet each other and share their current activities, experiences and everyday challenges. In particular, both sides were able to discuss issues faced by universities in partnering with research and business entities on knowledge transfer.

Hub professionals from Cluj (Romania), Kosice (Slovakia), and Pecs (Hungary) met with representatives from mentor institutions, such as, Semmelweis Medical University (Budapest) and Technical University (Budapest).

Universities in these regions are only just embarking on university-industry collaboration which requires a high level of support from start to finish.

The RIS Hubs are uniquely placed to facilitate these connections through their social and business network, and their offering of professional and Accelerator programmes.

This first KTI workshop was a step in the right direction for founding these vital partnerships.
