Using the Action Plan Finder tool developed by InnoStars
On 4 July 2018, the Department of Economics, Management and Institutions at the University of Naples “Federico II” brought together a focus group to discuss collaboration in the regional health innovation ecosystem – in particular cooperation between local stakeholders in Campania and Sicily in Italy, Greece and Portugal – as part of series of reviews being conducted by EIT Health InnoStars.
The review in Naples, which applies the Action Plan Finder tool developed by EIT Health InnoStars, is aimed at investigating the structure of the regional ecosystems and the main collaborative dynamics that affect its key players.
This assessment of the innovation ecosystem is intended to provide an as-is situation analysis and to serve as a basis for the ongoing regional action planning process of the RIS Hubs. It is one of several similar assessments taking place in other RIS (Regional Innovation Scheme) regions served by EIT Health. These reviews will be completed by the end of September 2018 and the main results will be shared among stakeholders in the InnoStars network.
The progress of the other reviews is as follows:
- Having commenced in June, KIT assessment continues in Kaunas, Tartu, Gdanks and Lodz. The review is carried out by the Medical University in Lodz.
- The evaluation of regional innovation ecosystems in Budapest, Pécs, Kosice and Cluj is also ongoing and undertaken by the EIT Health InnoStars team with the support of the innovation expert from TU Delft, Roel Kamerling. The first round of interviews has already been completed. The assessing team also visited Technicom, the new science park of the Technical University of Kosice.
