Medical University of Gdańsk promotes KTI and EIT Health

E-Health Forum Digital Transformation in Healthcare with exhibition of EIT Health

The team of Technology Transfer Office (TTO) from the Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG) – one of the RIS Hubs – participated in an international conference “e-Health Forum Digital Transformation in Healthcare” presenting key challenges and key actions in e-health.

The conference connecting e-health industry leaders, start-ups, medical professionals, key stakeholders, experts and also patients took place in Sopot, Poland on 18-19 September 2018.

The event was co-organised by MUG, Centre for Integrated Care and e-Health, Polish Society for Health Programmes.

The team of the TTO was strongly involved in the active promotion of the KTI model and EIT Health Campus and also EIT Health Accelerator Programmes during the conference, which was dedicated to development of new competences of e-health.

What’s more, the team of the Technology Transfer Office hosted the event “Innovation Day” financed by Innovation Incubator + “Support for scientific research management and commercialisation of R&D work results in scientific units and enterprises” in the framework of the Operational Programme Intelligent Development 2014-2020.

The “Innovation Day” was a great chance not only for scientists but also for start-ups to know the pathway of innovation in Poland. All the start-ups recruited by MUG to EIT Health Accelerator Programmes were invited to cooperate and share their experiences by making presentations of their adventure with healthcare topics.

Both scientists and start-ups received professional support from the Investment Funds representatives. All of the MUG recruited start-ups were also invited to take part in an interview as a great opportunity to promote their top stories and support their innovative ideas and projects within local ecosystem. Two start-ups: Over Cloud Ltd. and Biolumo Ltd. gave interviews about the development of their business.
