EIT Health and EIT Food kick off Food4Health initiative

23rd August 2019

4 March meeting to be followed by 15-16 May workshop

The Food4Health collaboration, a joint initiative between EIT Food and EIT Health, was officially launched on 4 March 2019 with a kick-off meeting at the offices of EIT Health Spain in Barcelona.

This meeting was an opportunity for the core Food4Health partners to get to know one another and to start working together as a team.

The objectives and approach of the Cross-KIC collaboration were presented, followed by an interactive discussion about project ideas. The next step is to combine and elaborate these ideas into two innovation projects, to be launched this year. The Food4Health cross-KIC collaboration was created in recognition of the relationship between nutrition and health.

EIT Food and EIT Health will undertake joint activities, ensuring that the strengths and expertise of the partners of both KICs can be leveraged to make a greater impact in the area of food and health.

A joint workshop for the partners of EIT Food and EIT Health will be held on 15-16 May 2019 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. During two half-day sessions, the workshop will allow the partners from both KICs an opportunity to learn more about the Food4Health collaboration and how they can be involved.
