The 2019 edition of the European Commission-supported Startup Europe Week will be held 11-14 March in 40 countries and more than 200 towns. In one of those towns, Liberec, Czech Republic, the event will be hosted by DEX Innovation Center, an EIT Health RIS Hub.
As a local organiser, DEX-IC, will be promoting EIT Health Accelerator opportunities and provide information about the available support. Through the associated networking, DEX IC connect local, regional, national and international startups with the business ecosystem (e.g. CzechInvest, Jablotron, Skoda Auto).
“Our mission is to improve society through research and innovation. Start-ups are key players. We work with almost one hundred European start-ups now, but with very few from our region. We want to change it, we want to use our knowledge in our region,” says Jan Kubalík, director of the DEX Innovation Center.
This year, the event’s leitmotif is connecting business-to-government start-ups with public procurers in the fields of health and transportation among others.
