The first group of start-ups selected for tailored support through the EIT Health InnoStars SPICE was announced. These seven pioneering ventures will participate in a one- year programme designed to refine their solutions, strengthen their business models, and accelerate their market entry. Each selected start-up underwent a rigorous evaluation to identify the specific services and milestones crucial for their success. The SPICE programme will now provide expert-led support in key areas. Depending on their needs, this may include regulatory strategy, clinical validation, financial modeling, and market expansion.

Driving Healthcare Innovation Across Europe

The Strategic Partnership Initiatives for Competitive Edge (SPICE) programme is designed to fast-track market entry and scale up healthcare innovations in emerging and moderate innovator regions across Europe. Offering up to €160,000 in tailored support per project, the programme helps start-ups with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 6 or higher navigate key challenges, including regulatory compliance, quality assurance, intellectual property strategy, reimbursement pathways, and investment readiness.
