Help shape the next generation of EIT Health Bootcamps and unlock the market potential of Europe’s most promising health innovations.
We are looking for experienced consortia from across industry, education and research to design and deliver intensive, hands-on learning paths for health start-ups ready to advance their innovations towards market adoption and scale. This opportunity is designed for organisations with expertise in healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship, commercialisation, education and venture support, and strong connections across the European health innovation ecosystem.
Bring your expertise to one or more of five learning paths covering foundational health innovation skills, digital health validation and evidence, deep tech and AI commercialisation, cross-border investment and scaling, and patient access and adoption. Working alongside EIT Health, selected consortia will develop engaging learning experiences that combine practical training, expert-led masterclasses, tailored mentoring, real-world case studies, ecosystem engagement and pitch opportunities.
Equip participating start-ups with the knowledge, tools and connections to strengthen validation and evidence generation, navigate regulatory and market access pathways, build investment readiness, engage healthcare stakeholders and develop actionable strategies for market entry and scale. Through expert guidance and connections with investors, healthcare providers, industry, regulators and patient communities, the Bootcamps will help ventures identify and overcome the barriers standing between promising innovation and real-world adoption.

Who can apply?
This call is open to consortia with the expertise and capacity to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences for health start-ups.
Consortia must comprise a minimum of two and a maximum of five independent legal entities, with at least two entities legally established in different Horizon Europe countries. Each consortium must bring together partners from at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle – industry, education and research, including at least one industry organisation.
The call is particularly relevant to organisations with expertise in healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship, commercialisation, education and venture support, as well as experience delivering innovation programmes and engaging mentors, regulatory experts, investors, healthcare stakeholders and other actors across the European health innovation ecosystem.
Applicants may apply to deliver one or more of the five EIT Health Bootcamp learning paths. A separate application is required for each path, and applicants seeking to deliver multiple paths must demonstrate sufficient expertise and operational capacity to deliver them simultaneously.
Individuals cannot apply for funding under this call.
Funding
- Up to €610,000 in total EIT Health funding is available under this call.
- Up to €112,000 may be awarded for the Foundational Learning Path and related activities (€76,000 in 2027 and €36,000 in 2028).
- Up to €162,000 may be awarded per Thematic Learning Path and related activities (€101,000 in 2027 and €61,000 in 2028). Up to four thematic projects may be awarded, subject to the quality of proposals.
- EIT Health will fund a maximum of 50% of the total project costs. Successful consortia must secure the remaining 50% through co-funding from non-EIT Health/KIC sources.
What We Fund
Funding will support the design and delivery of the EIT Health Bootcamp learning paths, including curriculum and learning content development, learning materials and assessments, expert-led masterclasses and follow-up sessions, mentoring, industry and investor engagement, real-world case studies, networking and professional development opportunities, and pitch competitions.
Funding is provided through an actual-cost model and may cover a maximum of 50% of the project’s total eligible costs. The remaining 50% must be provided through co-funding from other sources.
Successful consortia will also be required to enter into the relevant EIT Health contractual agreements, including a Revenue Sharing Agreement governing the future exploitation and commercialisation of the education programmes developed.
Expected Outcomes
Selected projects are expected to create practical, scalable learning experiences that strengthen the ability of participating health start-ups to move promising innovations towards market adoption and scale.
The Bootcamps should help participating ventures strengthen real-world validation and evidence generation; improve regulatory, reimbursement and market access readiness; build investment readiness and commercial growth capacity; develop cross-border scaling strategies; and increase readiness for patient-centered adoption.
Projects should also strengthen connections between participating ventures and healthcare providers, investors, industry, and patient communities.
Ultimately, the programme aims to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in health innovation, accelerate the translation of promising solutions into real-world healthcare impact, improve patient outcomes and support greater cross-border collaboration and market integration.

If you do not know if your organisation already has a PIC number, you can verify directly on the EU Portal whether your organisation is already registered.
