OFFER: Loop-dx provides COVID-19 test infrastructure

6th April 2020

The test is intended to identify the immune status of COVID-19 patients

Diagnostics company Loop-dx is offering the use of its test infrastructure and intellectual property that help makes predictions about the severity of COVID-19 in patients.

Loop-dx is a diagnostics company developing a rapid test to identify the immune status of the patients with infections, taking into account the latest studies that indicate that the most severe cases of COVID-19 are due to an over-response of the immune system.

Whether COVID-19 infection produces mild symptoms or severe pneumonia depends on each patient’s immune response, a defensive system based on the coordinated and specific action of cells of dozens of different types.

It has been observed how from seven to eight days a worsening occurs in lungs that have been majorly impacted by the infection. However, this only occurs in some patients.

Our studies investigating the deployment of this cell army at each stage of infection can help make predictions.

We would like to offer our test infrastructure and IP to hospitals, invitro diagnostics companies and other stakeholders to support research against the COVID-19 disease.
