BRIGHTskills focus groups to help shape the future of skills in Europe’s health industry
The BRIGHTskills Project is inviting employers, HR professionals, managers and workers across Europe’s health industry to participate in a series of focus groups aimed at identifying and validating the most urgent skills needs facing the sector.
Europe’s health industries are undergoing rapid technological, environmental and regulatory change. From digital health and advanced manufacturing to evolving supply chains and sustainability requirements, companies increasingly need access to a workforce equipped with the right skills to remain competitive and resilient.
To address these challenges, BRIGHTskills is working with industry stakeholders, education providers and policymakers to develop a forward-looking EU Health Industry Skills Strategy and design training programmes that better align academic and professional learning with real labour market needs.
Capturing industry insights
The upcoming Workplace Skills Gap Analysis focus groups represent a key step in this process. The sessions will bring together employers and professionals from across the health industry ecosystem including pharmaceuticals, biomanufacturing, medical technology, digital health and medical supplies.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives on topics such as:
- recruitment and retention challenges
• emerging skills gaps across the sector
• workforce preparedness for digital, green and regulatory transitions
• priorities for future training and skills development
The insights gathered will contribute to validating preliminary research findings and help ensure that the project’s future training programmes and skills frameworks reflect the real needs of industry.
A short discussion with tangible impact
Each focus group will last approximately 60 minutes and will consist of a targeted discussion with peers from across the European health industry.
Participants will also receive a short summary of the headline findings, providing useful insights and benchmarking on the evolving skills landscape.
Join the conversation
The focus groups are taking place this week, but there is still time to join one of the upcoming sessions and contribute your perspective. Places are limited.
Professionals working in health industry companies who wish to contribute their expertise and help shape the future of workforce development in the sector are encouraged to register.
