Increasing the awareness and skills of interested young medical professionals
EIT Health and Freshblood partnered on a satellite event at this year’s International Summer School on Imaging for Medical Application (SSIMA), hosted in Sibiu on 3 July. The Summer School is now in its 5th edition and attracts top international speakers and audience from all over Romania.

Our event was designed to increase the awareness and skills of interested young medical professionals (medical students, junior doctors and engineers), by exposing them to the key principles of innovation in medicine. An exercise using the Business Model Canvas was conducted and moderated with the help of Starship Fellows Stud. Maria Lup and Dr. Vlad Mateita. At the end of the workshop, the teams shared their Business Model Canvas and got feedback from us and from their colleagues.
In the main session we presented EIT Health initiatives and programmes to the general audience and coordinated a Start-up Pitching session that was welcomed with high interest.
