Transition fellowships help doctoral candidates

8th July 2019

The EIT Health partners universities are collaborating to close the gap between completion of the doctoral thesis and obtaining seed funding for innovative ideas

PhD and DPhil candidates who are attending Oxford University, Imperial College London, Coimbra University and University of Lisbon, and are engaged in innovative health research projects, can gain support for their work through EIT Health’s transition fellowships.

The universities, all EIT Health partners, are collaborating to offer an exciting competitive funding scheme focused on closing the gap between completion of the doctoral thesis and obtaining seed funding for innovative ideas, products and services based on the research. We are now seeking applications from suitable DPhil/PhD candidates (based at these academic partners only), whose innovative work would benefit from such a pre-seed (spark) award. Applications must be received by 16 June 2017.
