Smart Ageing Camp within the Regional Innovation Scheme

The Technology Transfer Office from the Medical University of Gdańsk, together with the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, co-organised a meeting which was a part of the EIT Health Smart Ageing Camp project implemented by the Medical University of Łódź. The meeting took place on 3 October at the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park.

During the meeting, Agnieszka Wojtecka, a PhD from the Department of Public Health and Social Medicine MUG, delivered a lecture titled “A long life in good health. Healthy ageing programme for Gdańsk seniors.”

The presentation focused on the assumptions of the Third Age in Health programme co-implemented by the Department of Public Health and Social Medicine in the field of healthy and active ageing, addressed to the people of Gdańsk aged 60+.

There were ten European start-ups (including Italy, Sweden, UK, Estonia, Portugal, Norway and Romania) who presented their innovative solutions in the area of health dedicated to seniors.

The group of invited experts expressed their opinions on the services and solutions presented. The participants of the meeting were also invited to visit the Polpharma Biologics centre located near the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park.
