EU funded European Silver Economy Awards

12th July 2019

A chance to kick-off innovation in service delivery for older adults

The EU-funded SEED project has launched the first European Silver Economy Awards to celebrate ICT solutions in all sectors that help to improve the quality of life of our senior citizens, and thus to activate a multi-stakeholder driven European digital Silver Economy movement. EIT Health partners and their associates are urged to consider participation.

The Awards are the perfect chance to kick-off innovation in service delivery for older adults, and to highlight the potential a growing number of older citizens can generate for entrepreneurs, investors, public authorities and civil society, by promoting game-changing ICT solutions responding to these opportunities.

Who can apply?

The Silver Economy Awards are open to submissions of ICT-related product and service innovations supporting any age group over 50. Interested parties can apply for one of the three Award Categories:

  1. Public authority
  2. Non-for-profit organisation
  3. For-profit organisation

Applications are welcomed from the broad spectrum that make up the European Silver Economy, including health and wellbeing, leisure and tourism, housing and mobility, consumer goods and services, education, employment and finance.

Why apply?

All applicants will benefit from online publication on the Silver Economy Awards website and winners and finalists will be invited to showcase their product or service at the high-level Award Ceremony in May 2018, where they will be celebrated for their achievements. The Awards Ceremony itself is an excellent opportunity to network and exchange with key stakeholders of European Silver Economy, public and private actors, local and regional authorities, users and innovators. The winning solutions will be further promoted by the European Covenant on Demographic Change, European Commission and SEED partners in the media, on websites, in newsletters and through other promotional material.

Online submissions are open until November 15 2017. Apply now!
