Make full use of the opportunities offered by EURAXESS and connect with highly trained professionals
EIT Health InnoStars is cooperating with EURAXESS to promote an open labour market for researchers and to support the optimal circulation of and access to scientific knowledge through a series of initiatives.
EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion is a unique pan-European initiative delivering information and support services to professional researchers. Backed by the European Union and its Member States, it supports researcher mobility, career development and academia-business cooperation, while enhancing scientific collaboration between Europe and the world.
EIT Health is committed to building stronger linkages between businesses and academia so that is why we encourage all EIT Health Partners to make full use of the opportunities offered by the EURAXESS network and connect with as much as 24 000 highly trained professionals. Few companies know that this service, created by the European Union, does not only serve universities and research institutes by connecting research-related job offers and talents, but is also available to profit-oriented companies performing research activities. Furthermore, the service, operated by the EU, is completely free of charge.
The professionals which available in the EURAXESS database “have at least one higher education degree and they speak English and typically another foreign language on a high level. Many of them are PhD students or have obtained a PhD, but there is also a number of MA/MSc graduates registered.” – says Ádám Molnár, the coordinator of EURAXESS in Hungary.
How to use the EURAXESS webpage as an employer?
Services exclusively offered to employers (such as posting a job offer) are available after confirmation. Companies can then upload the most important information to their public profile. In addition, they can also browse the EURAXESS database for researcher CVs to find the best candidates.
In this system, a company can search only for talents ready to work in their own country. Results can also be arranged based on educational level (BSc, MSc, PhD), languages spoken, length of professional experience or level of expertise (early stage or experienced researcher). Registered companies can also post job offers, which then may be shared on other professional webpages in Europe as well. Profiles of researchers based outside of Europe, from India to South America, are also available in the database.
