EIT Health, in partnership with Abbott, is excited to announce the launch of the Start-ups Meet Pharma programme, commencing with the first of three anticipated challenges on 7 October 2024. The first challenge is focused on enhancing the development of nutritional products, with the aim of predicting stability challenges early in the product development process. This approach seeks to reduce the need for time-consuming and resource-intensive testing.
EIT Health and Abbott are seeking innovative solutions that can predict the stability of nutritional ingredients under specific treatment conditions by leveraging existing published literature and data. The submission deadline for the first challenge is 30 December 2024.
The EIT Health programme Start-ups Meet Pharma is a challenge-based matchmaking initiative connecting leading pharmaceutical partners and healthcare providers in Europe with start-ups at the forefront of technological innovation. Building on the success of previous editions, the programme aims to foster partnerships and introduce breakthrough solutions in the healthcare sector. Since its inception, the programme has taken no equity or IP involvement and has successfully facilitated 28 partnerships across the industry. Previous sponsors include major industry players such as Takeda, Bayer, Amgen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Novartis, and many more.
“This is not just a competition; it’s an opportunity to forge partnerships that can lead to groundbreaking innovations. Together with Abbott, we are committed to empowering entrepreneurs to make a tangible impact on patient care,” said Bojana Trajkovska, Programme Lead, EIT Health Germany-Switzerland.
Start-ups with a product or technology addressing the challenge are encouraged to apply. The submission deadline for the first challenge is 30 December 2024, offering a unique opportunity to showcase innovative solutions and collaborate with industry leaders to shape the future of healthcare.
