Noah Labs joins EIT Health Germany-Switzerland as Associate Partner

Noah Labs has joined EIT Health Germany-Switzerland as an Associate Partner this month. The company, founded in 2021 by medical doctor Dr. Leonhard Riehle, machine learning engineer Marcus Hott, and serial entrepreneur Oliver Piepenstock, develops voice-based machine learning software for the early detection of decompensated heart failure, the leading cause of hospitalizations.

Noah Labs’ technology detects changes in the sound of the voice caused by pulmonary edema and fluid accumulation in the vocal tract, identifying deterioration up to 14 days earlier than the current standard of care to avoid costly hospitalizations. The patented solution is currently being evaluated at prestigious institutions such as Mayo Clinic in the US, Charité in Berlin, and university clinics in Maastricht and Barcelona. The technology is integrated into Noah Labs Ark, a cardiovascular telemonitoring platform that has already received medical device clearance in the EU and is generating revenue. The company, an ISO 13485 certified manufacturer of software-based medical devices, employs 20 people in Berlin, Germany.
