BL-DetectTool quickly identifies presence of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria
A new video provides a presentation of a workshop organised around BL-DetectTool, an EIT Health Innovation Project that supports a simple affordable system for detecting antimicrobial-resistant superbugs.
The gathering, held in Barcelona in mid-December, allowed promotion of the innovation among a group of professionals who could be influential in its commercialisation.

BL-DetectTool is an innovation that uses a testing strip and a simple device that can be produced by 3D printer to detect the presence of drug-resistant bacteria. This user-friendly innovation gives hospitals a powerful weapon in the fight against antimicrobial resistance, one of the greatest threats to public health that we face today.
