Co-creative pop-up laboratory

Collaboration with patients and other stakeholders enables joint creation of solutions that fit real needs. Co-up Lab incorporates co-creation sessions with end users into training for innovators.

The aim of The Co-Up Lab programme is to enable students to learn skills like communication and co-creation while providing them with tools to be healthcare entrepreneurs and innovators.

Students co-create in sessions with stakeholders and develop their ideas over the course of a semester. The co-creation takes place in online pop-up gatherings, designed to take healthcare education to end-users. In between these “co-ups” teachers at the Karolinska Institute and other partners coach participants in their own innovation process.

Co-Up Lab highlights the importance of real experience and follows a user-centered process. Education is achieved through hands-on project work, peer to peer learning, stakeholder interaction and use of new knowledge in real-life settings.
