Second EIT Health RIS Hub Summit in Łódź – Focusing on actions

Finalising the regional action plans for the next year

RIS Hub representatives and the InnoStars RIS team met on 6 December in Łódź, Poland to discuss the learnings of the year and the future perspectives through the planned actions for 2019.

The recently selected three new RIS Hubs from Croatia, the Czech Republic and Latvia also joined the existing ten organisations to participate in the closing event of this year’s EIT Health RIS programme.

The Summit started with the presentations of the Hub delegates who shared their finalised regional action plans. The actions will be taken towards improving the regional innovation ecosystems, to bring together local actors from the areas of research, education and business.The RIS Hubs have been working on their specific action plans since September.

After presenting the draft plans in the KTI Workshop in Erlangen, Germany last month, the Hubs have made significant steps forward in the development of the documents by having considered the recommendations and comments received from the EIT Health RIS team.

The Hubs’ presentation session was moderated by Roel Kamerling, an experienced EIT Health expert from TU Delft. He contributed to shaping the final action plans with his valuable comments and recommendations. The iteractive process among RIS Hubs and EIT Health InnoStars regarding the improvement of action plans will continue until the end of the year.

The RIS Hubs actively participated in the Summit discussion on evaluating the relevance and the quality of the overall 2018 RIS programme and provided feedback and recommendations to shape the future form of the EIT Health RIS programme.

InnoStars also presented the approved actions of the 2019 RIS programme. Since the feedback from Hubs was definitely positive, EIT Health InnoStars is looking forward to continuing this active and successful year with valuable cooperation and results in 2019 as well, concentrating on regional innovation project development.
