18-19 February 2019 annual gathering unites network of 14 Hubs
The annual RIS Hub Summit organised on 18-19 February 2019 in Budapest by EIT Health InnoStars brought together the EIT Health RIS Community to present the forthcoming milestones and support Hubs in implementing EIT Health activities in emerging European countries.
At the beginning of this year, the EIT Health RIS Community was enlarged to 14 Hubs in 13 countries: Évora, Gdańsk, Cluj Napoca, Kosice, Pecs, Sicily, Porto, Zagreb, Coimbra, Athens, Kaunas, Liberec as well as newcomers Tartu and Ljubljana. Along with these hubs, the RIS Hub Summit also engaged EIT Health Partners – GE Healthcare, University Semmelweis, Imperial College London and Medical University of Lodz – who had a chance to present different Campus opportunities in 2019.
The participants were introduced to the Business Creation programmes, mentoring opportunities, a Matchmaking tool, as well as a brand new Innostarter platform that enables users to search for the best start-up opportunities and programmes run by EIT Health. RIS Hubs also had the opportunity to discuss asset mapping conclusions, to gain a deeper insight about their strengths and to enable them to facilitate cooperation with different actors in EIT Health.
