Annual gathering allows our partners to share progress and plan future support for healthcare innovation
The EIT Health Summit, the annual gathering at which our consortium assesses its progress and plans its future course, kicked off on the morning of Monday, 4 December 2017, in London, UK, at the etc.venue in St. Paul’s.
The opening plenary session, held before an audience of several hundred, included welcoming addresses and a panel discussion of top European experts weighing in on healthcare needs, from the local level to the global level.
During the 4-5 December event, participants discussed ways that EIT Health can increase the impact of its work to encourage healthcare innovation – and learn about the impressive work that the network is already undertaking in this area. The EIT Health Summit will also host the finals of the European Health Catapult contest, in which healthcare start-ups pitch their concepts to win prizes and attract investment.
