Finding solutions to mental health concerns in adults with intellectual challenges

People with intellectual disabilities experience poorer mental health than those in the mainstream population. SOOTHE unites professionals and citizens in a quest for solutions.

SOOTHE brings together healthcare professionals, care givers, seniors and other citizens to address mental health concerns among adults with intellectual disabilities. By sharing their diverse perspectives, participants learn about the challenges and work together to develop social and environmental solutions that can be employed by individuals and services. The goal is to find ways to minimise ill health and maximise positive mental health in middle-aged to elderly adults with intellectual disabilities.
