EIT Health Opens Search for next Chief Executive Officer 

EIT Health has launched the recruitment process for its next Chief Executive Officer, who will lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and impact across Europe’s health innovation ecosystem.

EIT Health has officially opened the recruitment process for its next Chief Executive Officer, marking an important milestone as the organisation begins delivery of its Business Plan 2026-28 and prepares for the future of European health innovation beyond 2030.

Established in partnership with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), EIT Health brings together leading organisations from business, research, education and healthcare to accelerate innovation and strengthen healthcare systems across Europe. Since its launch in 2015, the organisation has supported thousands of entrepreneurs, innovators and healthcare professionals, helping transform ideas into real solutions that improve patient care and health system sustainability.

The next CEO will build on this strong foundation. With the organisation having secured funding for the current Business Plan and having completed a major organisational transformation, the incoming leader will guide EIT Health into its next strategic phase, strengthening operational excellence, expanding partnerships and further enhancing the impact of Europe’s health innovation ecosystem.

The role combines strategic leadership with strong institutional engagement. The CEO will work closely with EIT Health’s Supervisory Board, Management Board and its partnership across Europe while representing the organisation with European institutions, Member States, industry leaders and research organisations.

The successful candidate will lead an established management team and a distributed workforce of more than 80 staff working across Europe in a remote-first operating model.

EIT Health is seeking a leader with a strong track record in innovation ecosystems, business development and partnership leadership, alongside experience navigating the public-private interface that defines Europe’s research and innovation landscape.
