Dr. Astrid Kaltenböck appointed Managing Director (ad interim) for EIT Health Germany-Switzerland

EIT Health Germany-Switzerland is pleased to announce that Dr. Astrid Kaltenböck will assume the role of Managing Director (ad interim) starting from August 1, 2024. Dr. Kaltenböck will now lead both EIT Health Austria and EIT Health Germany-Switzerland, promoting synergies between the two Co-Location Centres while preserving their independent operations.

With over 20 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, Dr. Kaltenböck has a proven track record in R&D, strategic innovation, and organisational development. She holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Innsbruck and the Louis Pasteur University Strasbourg. Before joining EIT Health, she served as Head of Medical Affairs at Biogen AT.

Dr. Kaltenböck succeeds Dr. Kurt Höller, who has played a crucial role in establishing and growing EIT Health Germany-Switzerland. Reflecting on her new role, she said: “I am honoured to step into this role and eager to work with our exceptional team to drive innovation and growth. Together, we will build on the strong foundation laid by Kurt and the team and explore new opportunities to achieve our shared vision.”
